The online bookies were feeling a lot of pain Sunday night following devastating losses in the NFL. The betting public, meanwhile, appeared to be sitting pretty.
Without a doubt, the harshest blow came at the hands of the still undefeated Tennessee Titans who beat Chicago by a touchdown. For whatever reason, Tennessee was only a -3 favorite. The Titans were the most bet on team everywhere.
The New England Patriots 10 point win over the Buffalo Bills was also a knockout punch to the bookies as was the Baltimore Ravens blowout of Houston.
"These three teams were the most bet on and the public won big," said Gambling911.com Senior Editor, Payton O'Brien. "Fortunately for the bookmakers there weren't a whole lot of teams that had such heavy lopsided action but most of the games won provided a slight edge to the gambling public."
Those teams included Jacksonville, Green Bay, and Carolina. Only Atlanta's win helped the books out.
