From Blakc Frazier of BetOnline.com:  “It will be interesting to see how Houston responds after missing out on the chance at a BCS bowl game following a loss in the Conference USA Championship. Many felt that the Cougars would make it to one with Keenum leading the top-ranked offense in the nation, but even with his average of 455.6 passing yards per game, it simply wasn’t enough when it counted the most. The highest scoring offense in the country will look for some retribution and the chance to finish on a high note when they reach Dallas, and Keenum will be in the spotlight once again.

Regarding Penn State’s chances, Frazier noted:  “If the Nittany Lions are going to have any chance at winning this game, it will come down to the nation’s fifth-ranked pass defense coming down hard on (Case) Keenum and the Houston passing attack. Penn State can’t come close to matching what the Cougars do on offense with their attack, and so the defense is going to have to come up big to keep them in it. How important this game is to players on this team, and the effect that the controversy surrounding the university has will be two key issues that contribute to this game.”
