Here is a recap of poker news headlines as we head into Friday January 20, 2012 (This is the overnight/early AM edition).  Tom Dwan, who has maintained a low profile of late following the Full Tilt Poker debacle, has been spotted near the Aussie Millions.  We’re assuming he’s going to be playing.  Let’s get started. 

Tom Dwan Spotted in Australia with Hot Girlfriend Ready for Aussie Millions - Poker.it spotted poker phenom Tom Dwan in Australia along with this girlfriend, who has been tweeting about their Australian trip.  The two were photographed in front of the Opera House.  Dwan was part of the Full Tilt Poker team and has been widely criticized for his promise to pay back players a million of his own dollars should FTP not pay.  They haven’t paid yet.  Dwan insists he will live up to his initial offer but will wait another year to see how this develops.

Winning Poker Network Super Fast Payment Options Now Available - U.S. players have several cashout options on the network now known as the Winning Poker Network. The fastest options are cash transfer and the debit card option. Both involve high fees, but process in 1-3 days. Players can request a check and expect it in about two weeks unless it is over $1000. If it is over $1000, it is sent by courier and takes about one week. Players requesting over $5000 can receive a bank wire. The fee is $500, or the equivalent in player points.
