Randy Couture

He's slated to fight Brock Lesnar this coming Saturday night as part of the UFC 91 card but another fight may be brewing in the courtroom....and it's not Dana White taking legal action this time.

Point-Spreads.com was reporting Wednesday that media firm TOAST was claiming that Couture failed to pay approximately $125,000 for an event hosted by his organization, Xtreme Couture GI Foundation.  Terry Coffing, the attorney representing Toast of New York, said Couture has only paid $50,000 of his $175,000 bill.

Besides being sued by TOAST, Couture's wife Kim won a restraining order against Affliction Inc. clothing company owner Todd Eugene Beard this week. The Couture's T-shirt business partner allegedly made threats and tried to intimidation Kim.

"My fear of Mr. Beard is well-founded given his extensive criminal history. Not only has he been convicted of numerous state and federal felonies relating to fraud ...he has engaged in numerous acts of violence, including violence against women."

On September 2, 2008 the UFC announced a 3 fight deal with the now 45 year old Randy Couture to return to active competition for the UFC. His first fight back will be at UFC 91 on November 15, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada against Brock Lesnar. The winner of this fight will go on to fight the winner of UFC 92's Nogueira versus Mir bout, for the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship.

He can now compete against Fedor Emelianenko. Emelianenko's current contract is exclusive only in the U.S. and specifically states he can compete against Couture in any promotion.

Brock Lesnar was a slight favorite going up against Couture.  Randy Couture would pay $110 for every $100 bet at Sportsbook.com - the best payout odds we could find on Couture at press time Wednesday night.
