Alabama Gambling Corruption Defendant had Filed for Bankruptcy 4 Days Before Dea

While police await autopsy results to determine what led to the death of a defendant in a very high profile vote rigging Alabama gambling corruption case, it was revealed on Tuesday that Ray Crosby had filed for bankruptcy just four days prior to his death.

Crosby was found dead in his bedroom on Sunday.  He was due to stand trial (retrial) along with six other beginning this week.  That case has since been postponed for next week.

Court records show Crosby owed in excess of $600,000 debt.
