The New York Knicks odds to win the 2012 NBA Championship may be worth betting now before they get slashed any further.

Rookie sensation Jeremy Lin is proving he’s the real deal after scoring 38 points against the LA Lakers Friday night.

Everyone is talking about the Knicks and Lin!  Plus New York is getting back some of its additional star power soon, Anthony and Amare Stoudemire.

For now the Knicks odds of winning the NBA Championship were listed at 28/1 (find the updated odds here at BetOnline.com)

Lin followed up his first career start 28-point, eight-assist outing Monday by scoring 23 points and having 10 assists Wednesday against Washington.  In doing so, Lin became the first player since LeBron James in 2003 and just the sixth since 1970 to have at least 20 points and eight assists in his first two starts.

Now, in just under a week’s time, one of the only Chinese-Americans to ever play in the league is a bona fide NBA star.  A number of Knicks games will be televised in China and the Philippines.

This was the Knicks fourth straight win.  They now have a record of 12-15.

"I didn't try to see this game as any different," Lin said. "I just try to make sure that when I get there on the floor, I play as hard as I can and try to do everything I can to help the team win.

"The only thing we established tonight is four in a row. Now we try to go for five tomorrow. I'm not too worried about proving anything to anybody. As a team we're growing and trying to build on the momentum."
