Odds to Win the Daytona 500 – 2012
Odds to win the Daytona 500 – 2012 had four favorites promising payouts of $700 or greater on a $100 bet including Kevin Harvick (8/1), Kyle Busch (7/1), Tony Stewart (8/1) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. at +750. All Dayton 500 updated odds can be found at BetDSI.com here.
Gambling911.com has observed a definite uptick in Daytona 500 related betting inquires compared to past years, quite possibly because more people can bet from their mobile devices along with the fact that the sport continues to grow in popularity.
Kyle Busch is technically the favorite coming into Sunday’s big race while last year’s winner, Trevor Bayne, is not even listed. Bayne can still be wagered on as part of The Field category, which would pay out $1500 for every $100 bet.
"We've got a fast race car again," he said. "I'm confident that our car is going to be stout and one to contend with in the 500."
Also not listed separately and can be bet on as part of The Field category is Danica Patrick.
The high profile female race car driver will always attract a decent amount of betting action but she’s not exactly the best bet coming into Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Patrick wrecked in Saturday's season opener at Daytona International Speedway. On lap 50, JR Motorsports teammate Cole Whitt nudged her rear bumper and sent her spinning into the wall. She also crashed on the final lap of a qualifying race for the Daytona 500 on Thursday. Much like Saturday's accident, that one wasn't her fault.
