Traffic related to the 2012 Daytona 500 betting was surprisingly brisk even a day prior to the actual race. Typically NASCAR events do not drive much betting action. This year we appear to be bucking the trend.
WagerWeb.com was offering odds on the 2012 Daytona 500 winner as well as the Top Three Finishers, Group Betting and the Sprint Cup Championship.
Favorites to win this year’s Daytona 500 included Dale Earnhardt Jr at 8/1 odds, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart, each at +850 odds (which would pay out $85 for every $10 bet).
Surprises do happen, like last year when Trevor Bayne shocked everyone.
Drivers not specifically listed by name can be bet on in the “Field” category, which pays $120 for every $10 bet.
