The Maryland-North Carolina spread featured a pretty hefty price of -19.5 for the Tar Heels.  This game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN as North Carolina was currently ranked number 6 with just four losses on the season.  You will be able to bet this game LIVE IN PROGRESS at BetDSI.com here.

The big one for North Carolina will be this coming Saturday in a battle with Duke for the ACC and the winner could gain a top seed in the NCAA tournament.

"I don't know about everybody else," coach Roy Williams said. "But I think you want to put yourself in position to win the conference championship the last week. And if you do that, you've also put yourself in position to be in the NCAA tournament. You've also put yourself in position to get a fairly good seed in the NCAA tournament."

North Carolina was at 6/1 odds to win the 2012 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship while Duke was at 12/1 odds

While Maryland is 2-1 Against The Spread versus North Carolina over the last 3 seasons, the Tar Heels are 2-1 straight up against Maryland over the last 3 seasons.
