Carrie Stroup here back from a day off at the beach in sunny Fort Lauderdale to present the latest odds to win the Honda Classic 2012.  You will be able to place bets each day of the Tournament before and after.  Odds will be updated so I suggest locking in the current price on your favorite contender here now.

The Tour swings to the southeast this week for The Honda Classic at PGA National, consistently one of the toughest courses in the world. With small greens and the wind likely to be whipping again this year, here’s a look at the tournament’s five best bets…

Mark Wilson (30/1): The champion here in 2007, Wilson seems poised to grab his second title at PGA National. He took third at the Accenture Match Play Championship last week and already has a win—at the Humana Challenge in January—under his belt in 2012.

Justin Rose (30/1): Rose’s last round at PGA National landed him in the course record book: a 64 on Sunday two years ago. He missed last year’s Honda with an illness, but he looked solid at the Northern Trust two weeks ago, finishing T13.

Ben Crane (25/1): Crane has made a habit of hanging around this year. He’s already gone top-10 three times in 2012, including a solo runner-up at the Phoenix Open four weeks ago. He hasn’t played this course since ’09, but he finished all alone in third that year.

Rory McIlroy (8/1): There’s no doubt McIlroy is the world’s most dominant golfer right now. He’s finished in the top eight in each of his past 11 starts worldwide, including a runner-up in the Accenture Match Play Championship last week. He hasn’t had a lot of success at PGA National (his best finish was a T13 in 2009), but the way he’s played over the past year it really doesn’t matter.

John Rollins (50/1): Rollins is off to a fast start in 2012 with three top-10’s already, and is sixth in statistical all-around. He was the runner-up here in 2009.
