The 100th Alderney eGaming license has been issued and it goes to Relax Gaming, developers of the fast-paced online poker platform, Fast Poker.

Fast Poker will allow for fast play and quick transfer of a pool of player to another table upon folding their cards.   Fast Poker is set to be implemented with a handful of European Internet cardrooms in the coming days including iGame, Betsson and Unbibet.

“We are thrilled to launch Relax Fast Poker Network together with some of the very leading names in the industry,” said Patrik Österåker, Relax Gaming’s CEO. “We look forward to the launch and are sure more operators will join in. Fast Poker has the potential to make poker really hot again. Its fun, fast and easy, a great way of playing poker.”

The Alderney Gaming Commission (AGC) has come under scrutiny in recent months for its handling of licensee Full Tilt Poker.  What was once the second largest online poker room still owes millions of dollars to customers across the world.  The AGC pulled the plug on Full Tilt Poker last summer and ultimately revoked their license in September.  Full Tilt operated the very popular Rush Poker for which Fast Poker is modeled after.

Alderney’s Head of e-commerce, Robin Le Prevost said: "The commission have got very high standards ... they're not going to lower that in anyway just to attract more numbers."

Le Prevost claims the Full Tilt Poker matter had not caused any damage to Alderney’s reputation yet customers are left wondering what purpose the AGC serves if they are going to license companies that the US Justice Department now claims were orchestrating an elaborate ponzi scheme
