While online sportsbooks like BetOnline.com listed the New Orleans Saints with close to 8/1 odds of winning the 2013 Super Bowl, Gambling911.com anticipates this price to get a whole lot longer…say into the 20’s.

New Orleans is losing a good chunk of its esteemed coaching staff for a one year period, including head coach Sean Payton.

Suspensions were handed down as a result of a bounty program conducted by the team during the 2009-11 seasons that targeted opposing players.

Also suspended for the first 8 regular season games, general manager Mickey Loomis.

Former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was suspended indefinitely while Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt also was suspended six games and fined $100,000.

The NFL released a statement Wednesday saying that the suspensions for Payton, Loomis and Vitt are without pay.

Sports bettors who got in early on the Saints might want to try and soften their losses with maybe a bet on the Denver Broncos to win the 2013 Super Bowl at 8/1 odds….just a suggestion.
