WMS Industries Latest to Apply for Nevada Internet Poker License

Casino game maker WMS Industries announced Tuesday it has applied for an Internet gambling license in the state of Nevada.  The Silver State became the first to legalize intrastate online poker for real money with the potential to expand beyond its borders should federal legislation be passed.

WMS Industries operates an award winning UK-based online casino JackpotParty.com.  They also run Lucky Cruise, a social media application for Facebook that uses credits instead of money for its slot machine game.

"We have made significant progress in our development of a technology and entertainment content base that will help our customers unlock the emerging opportunities provided through online capabilities," said Orrin Ediden, president of WMS.
