While odds to win the 2009 BCS Championship have yet to be updated heading into this week, Gambling911.com predicts that the Alabama Crimson Tide will likely have odds of 2/1 (+200) following their +250 showing last week and continued hold over the number one position in all college football rankings.

Oddsmakers have long believed that the Florida Gators will make an appearance in the BCS Championship game and ultimately win.  Despite teams being ranked higher, oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have instilled the Gators as better than 2/1 odd favorites to win the 2009 BCS title.

We believe that the Oklahoma Sooners will probably have their odds slashed closer to 3/1 from 4.5/1 last week following their dismantling of the Texas Tech Red Raiders Saturday.

The BCS standings could play a huge role in who plays in the Big 12 championship game later this year. With Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech all tied atop the South the team with the highest BCS ranking would get the ticket and a win in the Big 12 championship would likely result in a trip to Miami to play for the BCS national championship.

For the Florida Gators their #4 BCS ranking means little because they still control their own destiny. The Gators need to take care of business against Florida State next week and will then face the Crimson Tide in the SEC championship. The winner of that game will almost certainly be playing for the BCS national championship.

The Utah Utes are likely to remain undefeated and could receive a BCS invitation with huge payout odds.

Utah's 48-24 win over Brigham Young last night all but ensured neither Boise State nor Ball State -- despite their flawless résumés -- will enter the BCS.

Several times, the standards of BCS eligibility have been adapted to make the system more friendly to teams such as Utah and Boise State, but only to one of them per season.

Boise State's odds of making into the BCS Championship were at +20000 last week.  A $100 bet would pay $20,000 if they somehow got in and won it.
