Poker Tournament News: Max Martinez, Eric Seidel Top EPT Grand Final Main Event Day 2
He’s one of the newer additions to Team PokerStars and poker pro Max Martinez is set to enter Day 3 of the EPT Grand Final Main Event in Monte Carlo as the chip leader.
Former medical student Martinez from Italy, who also won the PokerStar’s Italian Poker Tour $2k Main Event in Nova Gorica, has 456,300. He is one of 130 players have made it through Day 2.
Currently in second place with 413,500 is American pro Mohsin "Chicagocards1" Charanial. The former University of Illinois finance student has more than $400,000 in live tournament winnings including taking down the €2k side event at EPT Loutraki for €24,850. Online he has won at least $3.5 million, including taking down a 2010 SCOOP victory for $380,000 and the PokerStars Sunday Million in 2009.
Erik Seidel, who heads the all-time live tournament money list and made $6.5 million last year alone, is currently in third place with 362,200.
