While the iPoker Network has overtaken PartyPoker as the second most trafficked online poker room in the world over the past month, its 1st quarter revenues fell slightly.  iPoker is owned by Israeli-based Playtech.

The poker business made €5.3 million compared to to €5.7 during the same period last year.

Its online casino arm witnessed a 104 percent increase however.

Total first quarter 2012 revenue grew to €75.1 million from €36.7 million in a year earlier.

Playtech will soon be launching a join venture with Gala Coral.  There are questions looming as to whether the company will continue to partner with William Hill following a much publicized incident last year involving Hill management being unable to gain access into Playtech’s Tel Aviv facilities.  William Hill is also having a tough time seeking regulation in the state of Nevada due to its ties with Playtech, whose owner Teddy Sagi was convicted of fraud and bribery in the mid-1990s.
