Radio Host Accuses EOG.com Sports Betting Forum Head John Kelly of Being ‘Deadbe

Los Angeles radio host Roger Stein has accused John Kelly, general manager of the sports betting website Eye on Gambling (EOG.com), of being a deadbeat!

"He don't pay the bills too good," Stein said of Kelly.

Stein, a longtime trainer in the horse racing industry, hosts "The Roger Stein Show," a one-hour radio show about horse racing every Saturday and Sunday morning on KLAA radio in Los Angeles.

KLAA, heard at 830 on the AM dial, is an ESPN radio affiliate that, among other things, broadcasts Los Angeles Angels baseball games.

On last Sunday's broadcast of "The Roger Stein Show," Stein was discussing a horse racing handicapping seminar he participated in at a Las Vegas casino, when suddenly he took a pot shot at Kelly, who in addition to his EOG.com duties is also a Las Vegas radio host and sports handicapper.

"Year ago I was in Las Vegas, I did one of these seminars (at) the Barbary Coast," Stein recalled. "I had made a $500 side bet...with John Kelly, the operator up there that wears those--what do you call those pastel-colored, I don't know what they are, but anyway--I didn't realize what a stand-up guy John Kelly actually is.

"I just want to let you know, don't ever loan John Kelly money," Stein continued. "And I'll tell you why. A friend of mine helped him out. This was a very kind guy. I won't give you his name, but helped him out. And to this day he's got very little chance of getting his money back, because John Kelly can put on those pastel-colored suits, but he don't pay the bills too good."

Stein gave no more information about Kelly or the alleged debt, and then abruptly changed the topic.

Kelly has not publicly commented on the allegation.

Kelly runs the day-to-day operations of EOG.com, a website that is devoted to news and information about gambling and has an emphasis on sports betting.

EOG.com was started by the late faux psychiatrist, Ken "The Shrink" Weitzner, about 10 years ago.

Kelly is also a longtime sports handicapper who co-hosts a daily one-hour sports handicapping show called "The EOG Sports Hour" on KLAV, a Vegas radio station heard at 1230 on the AM dial.

According to the KLAV website, the "EOG Sports Hour" is "Sports and gaming news and opinion, dedicated to the hearts and minds of sports bettors everywhere."

According to the KLAA website, "The Roger Stein Show" is "Your window to the backstretch of Southern California racing every Saturday and Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on AM 830. One full hour of action-packed thoroughbred information, broadcast live from Southern California's leading tracks, with up-to-date information and handicapping to help you solve the many equine puzzles of the day."
