Formerly known as the World 600, the Coca Cola 600 is a NASCAR Spring Cup Series race held each year at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina Memorial Day Weekend. It is the largest race sanctioned by NASCAR at 600 miles.
This year’s favorite to win is Jimmie Johnson at close to 4/1 odds. He is followed by Kyle Busch at 6/1 or +600. A number of top racers were hovering around 7/1 odds.
Johnson won the first stage of the Sprint All-Star race then went on to dominate the final segment.
“I’ve been telling all of you that we are close and it’s coming," Johnson said. "I’m glad to back up what I’ve been talking about over these last few months."
Busch will be driving the newly unveiled 2013 Toyota Camry at this year’s Coca Cola 600.
"I think it's a really cool-looking car," Busch said. "We've got to get it out of the showroom and race it. It has a sexiness to it. It has a young look that accentuates the features of a Camry."
