Merge Gaming has fallen from the number 8 spot of most trafficked online poker rooms to number 10 early Thursday morning while Revolution Gaming was now within a mere 60 players average.

“This has stunned even us here at Gambling911.com,” noted Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the G911 website.  “We anticipated Merge to remain approximately 200 players on average ahead of Revolution throughout the month of June based on preliminary numbers, however, it now appears as if Revolution Gaming will overtake Merge as early as this weekend, if not sooner, to become the most trafficked US-facing Internet poker network.”

Revolution Gaming is the newly branded version of what had previously been the Cake Poker Network.  Lock Poker left the Merge Gaming Network last Thursday (May 31, 2012) to join forces with Cake.  Lock was currently offering a limited time only signup bonus up to $4000.

By Noon Eastern Standard Time Thursday, Revolution Gaming was to reach its 7 days of full service and we should have a solid daily average that takes into account an entire week’s period.  As of 3:15 am EST Thursday morning, Revolution’s 7-day average number of players was coming in at 1120 compared to Merge at 1180.  Revolution had 1250 cash players registered, compared to 858 at Merge.

Revolution was sitting in the number 11 spot whereby Merge was at number 10.

Revolution Gaming accepts players from 49 US states.  Utah players are excluded at this time.
