Heading into Friday, odds to win the UEFA Euro 2012 had Spain as the +230 favorite, or paying slightly better odds than 2/1, Germany was at +260 and the Netherlands were paying just shy of 6/1. All odds were courtesy of Bookmaker, which was giving qualified new customers up to US$500 in CASH – Some customers may qualify for up to US$2500.  See Site Here for Details

Germany has some value at +260 but there remain lingering doubts following two letdowns.

Friendly defeats at home to France back in February and in May to Switzerland have some doubting Germany’s ability to win the UEFA Euro 2012 title.

Germany team manager Oliver Bierhoff played down such concerns.

“Pride comes before the fall is our favourite saying these days,” Biefhoff said.  'The confidence levels are high, but there is still a high rate of insecurity as to what the team can and can't do.

'In 2006 (when Germany hosted the World Cup), it was unclear if the team could or would withstand the pressure. We went on to finish third, then at 2010 we had a very young team and we didn't know if they would gel into a team.

'Now we know what is possible. However, we also saw this team in a different guise against France and Switzerland but we know expectations are high amongst the German public.”

Holland, meanwhile, has solid value at just shy of 6/1 odds to win the UEFA Euro 2012

The Dutch national team have only won one major international tournament, at the 1988 European Championship.

Centre-back Joris Mathijsen will not feature in the opening game against Denmark due to a hamstring injury.
