PokerStars é o novo patrocinador da Brazilian Series Of Poker (BSOP)

The Brazilian Series of Poker 2012 (BSOP) will now be part of the PokerStars global tournament calendar.  The world’s largest “real money” online poker site claims to have the biggest chunk of the Brazilian poker playing market.

The first PokerStars-sponsored BSOP event will take place in São Paulo from July 26-31 at the Holiday Inn, Parque Anhembi.  Other stops will include Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza and Balneário Camboriú.

Team PokerStars Pro André Akkari said “Incredible news! It will be great to travel all over Brazil playing in the outstanding BSOP circuit. This is a truly unique opportunity to see the growing poker scene all over the country”.

Igor Trafane, BSOP CEO, says that the partnership between the tournament and PokerStars will only benefit Brazilian poker. “Now we count on a community of 49 million players in the world. Besides the number of participants, we’ll increase the technical level of the circuit, with more Brazilian players and possibly foreign players”, he analyzes. The news is also supported by the Brazilian Poker Confederation (CBTH).
