Both poker pros Shaun Deeb and Jason Somerville led with number of chips at various times of the day Thursday, Day 3 of the 2012 World Series of Poker.
Deeb has amassed $795,178 during his live poker career with two first place finishes.
The Troy, New York native had his second biggest cash at this year’s WSOP Event 17: Pot Limit Hold’em with a 6th place finish and $84,668. This was just a few thousand dollars less than his 1st place cashout of $$86,071 at the Pokerstars.com Kyiv Sports Poker Championship EPT - Season 6 in August of 2009.
Somerville has won just shy of $2 million lifetime at the ripe old age of 24. He’s already won a bracelet (in last year’s World Series of Poker). That bracelet came with his biggest cash to date as well, $493,091.
Somerville made headlines earlier in the year after proclaiming he was openly gay. He and Vanessa Selbst are among the most visibly gay players in the game today. Both enjoy a significant following.
