The Men’s 400m Individual Medley betting odds were available at Bookmaker.eu here. This will be an exciting early swimming event featuring Michael Phelps going up against Ryan Lochte. Be up early on the East Coast for this one as it goes off at 5 am. Bookmaker.eu will be taking bets all night long.
Phelps was getting 65 percent of the betting action for this event. Lochte was getting 31 percent.
This will be Phelps and Lochte’s first clash at the Olympics.
“Bob and I have been a lot more relaxed over the last four years, and we’re having fun,” Phelps said. “This is the closure. It’s really how many toppings do I want on my sundae?
“I have had a lot of moments where, I don’t know if I’ll say, ‘get choked up,’ but be more emotional, because these are the last competitive moments that I will have in my career. There are going to be a lot of firsts and a lot of lasts this week.”
“It’s got me captivated, and I don’t coach either of them,” said U.S. Coach Dave Marsh, who coaches Olympian Cullen Jones and others in Charlotte, N.C. “You have this one last shot, this clash. I’m savoring this.”
