Miami Dolphins 2012 Regular Season Win Total Odds

Gambling911.com wrote extensively on July 29 about the AFC East betting odds and today we look at the Miami Dolphins 2012 regular season win total odds, which were listed at OVER/UNDER 7 -125.

Miami Dolphins regular season schedule appears below with a breakdown of possibilities for wins/losses.

Week 1: at Houston
 Week 2: Oakland
Week 3: New York Jets
 Week 4: at Arizona
 Week 5: at Cincinnati
 Week 6: St. Louis
 Week 7: BYE
Week 8: at New York Jets
 Week 9: at Indianapolis
 Week 10: Tennessee
 Week 11: at Buffalo (Thurs.)
 Week 12: Seattle
 Week 13: New England
 Week 14: at San Francisco
 Week 15: Jacksonville
 Week 16: Buffalo
 Week 17: at New England

Oddsmakers believe the Dolphins will endure a record of UNDER .500.  With limited talent on offense and Miami’s failure to snag Jeff Fisher as head coach, Gambling911.com has to believe the oddsmakers are right here.

Now granted, if this team is even remotely better than last year’s Dolphins squad, they do have a chance at beating Oakland, St. Louis, Tennessee, Seattle, Jacksonville and Buffalo at home and Arizona, Indianapolis and Buffalo on the road.  But that would be such a stretch.

They can probably still win 7 games, so the OVER/UNDER here is a little tough to put money on.

The good news is that quarterback David Garrard believes his chances of starting are pretty good and, with that in mind, the OVER might have a slight edge, especially with Miami’s relative “soft” schedule.

"I think my chances are pretty good," Gerrard said Friday. "I don't think they would have me here or even say that it was open competition if my chances weren't good. I know I can still play.

"The quarterback position is the one position that you can clearly see most of the time who should be out there. As long as I continue to do my job and do what I can do and play my best, then hopefully that's enough."
