Bodog with its one-year old domain name BodogLife.com continues to recover following the loss of its long time domain - Bodog.com - in a patent dispute.  The measure of such a recovery was realized this past weekend when searches on Google typed "BodogLife" as opposed to the "Bodog" inquiry in conjunction with heavy queries for MMA star Fedor Emelianenko.

It took Emelianenko just 36 seconds to become the first ever W.A.M.M.A. World heavyweight champion Saturday night as part of an Affliction promoted event.  He pummeled another well respected fighter, Tim Sylvia.

Emelianenko's last MMA fight was for Bodog Fight where he beat Matt Lindland in Russia.  The Bodog Entertainment brand rode on the coattails of Fedor and Affliction Banned's massive weekend search traffic that continued into Monday, as monitored by the Gambling911.com website.

Bodog for the time being has ceased producing Mixed Martial Arts events but continues to focus heavily on the Internet gambling sector.

Bodog's founder, Calvin Ayre, abruptly retired earlier this year.

"Bodog Life is now one of the most searched terms over the Net," a representative from the company announced to Gambling911.com.

Payton O'Brien, Operations Manager for the Gambling911.com website, acknowledged the importance of this search trend.

"It seems people are now becoming more acquainted with the 'BodogLife' name and this is what they are searching as opposed to 'Bodog'," she stated.  "If I were Bodog I would use 'Bodog Life' in all my branding," O'Brien said, pointing out that their website still reads only 'Bodog'.
