Approximately 60 percent of those betting the San Francisco 49ers vs. Houston Texans spread at -3 were backing the underdog 49ers.  This is a line that hasn’t moved off the number 3 all week at WagerWeb.com or anywhere else for that matter.  The line makes sense considering Houston beat San Francisco by 3 points the last time these two teams met back in 2009.

Both these teams are expected to finish well above .500 in the 2012 regular season and both are big favorites to win their respective division with San Francisco listed at 1/3 odds and Houston a huge 1/6 favorite in the AFC South (Gambling911.com suggests a value play at 4/1 on the Tennessee Titans to take this division).

This game is being touted in some circles as a possible preview of the 2013 Super Bowl with both teams having upgraded their offenses and defenses following great success in 2011.  In fact, we could be witnessing two of the best defenses in the NFL Saturday evening.

There are no injuries to report for either side heading into Saturday evening’s game.
