COLUMBUS —(Associated Press) - Developers are ready to provide a peek on Monday at the new Hollywood Casino Columbus, which will offer gambling in the state capital as the third and largest of four casinos approved by voters.

Cake Games

The $400 million project is scheduled to open in early October. Organizers say the carpet is installed in some areas and a few of the 3,000 slot machines are in place, but other areas are still largely under construction.

They have started hiring about 2,000 employees for the 475,000-square-foot facility, which includes several restaurants and spaces for hosting events. It will offer 70 games, including 30 live poker tables, blackjack and roulette.

Developers estimate the casino will draw 3 million visitors a year.

Casinos already have opened in Cleveland and Toledo. The fourth is being built in Cincinnati.
