Punta Cana Poker Classic Revamps Website
Representatives for the Punta Cana Poker Classic (PCPC) announced today the complete overhaul of their website Punta Cana Poker Classic. The new interactive website gives full access to it users all the information regarding the third annual $500,000 Guaranteed land based Texas Holdem tournament taking place from October 12th to 18th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in the Dominican Republic.
"The new design will have a lot of new features and updated information," commented PCPC spokesperson Michael Harris. "Interest in the event is at an all-time high and we overhauled the website in order to accommodate the high volume of interested players."
The PCPC is entering its third year, showing considerable growth and popularity due to its unique location and concept. The low $1,500 buy-in allows recreational players and professionals to experience the thrill of a major guaranteed tournament without feeling the cost of a heavy buy-in. The event also gives players and opportunity to enjoy the benefits of an all-inclusive vacation in a sunny locale.
Early numbers indicate that this year's PCPC will have its biggest turnout yet. The rise in player participation comes largely from an aggressive satellite schedule from the PCPC's flagship sponsor, Americas Cardroom (ACR).
Thus far The Winning Poker Network has already qualified a total of 35 players so far through its online satellites including four this past Sunday. Online poker players Pavone Poker, GARTHV, Navarregator, and THANKS LOL all received their $5,000 PCPC packages by staying atop the leaderboard of ACR's Sunday night online qualifier.
Each package includes one Main Event buy-in, 6-night hotel accommodations for two, all-you-can-handle food and drinks (alcohol included) for two, airfare up to $800, a $1,500 resort credit, 24-hour premium room service for two, a welcome gift bag, ground transportation in Punta Cana.
Players still have plenty of time to qualify for their chance at a sunny poker vacation. ACR will continue to run qualifiers right up until the time of the event in which players can qualify for as little as $.50.
