Both these teams are being discussed as possible Super Bowl candidates early on, in particular San Francisco, which saw a mere 3 losses last season and bring back most of their team.  Brandon Jacobs is out with a knee injury for the 49ers, however.

San Francisco had odds of 5/1 of winning the NFC Championship while Denver was listed with odds of almost 8/1 to win the AFC Championship.

Balanced betting action occurring with this game.

Elsewhere in NFL Preseason action, the New York Jets were listed anywhere from a -1 point favorite to -3 vs. Carolina with 58 percent of the action coming in on New York.  WagerWeb had the Jets line at -3.
