This NHL betting preview of the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New Jersey Devils is brought to you by SBG Global where the Opening Line was: Devils  -  125  ,  Total  5.5 Under - 135

The New Jersey Devils have been red-hot of late, winning seven of their last eight games. Their only loss during that streak was to the Pittsburgh Penguins who they host on Wednesday night.  Everything is going right for New Jersey as they are scoring goals and getting excellent goaltending from Scott Clemmensen who is 5-1 with a 1.96 goals against average in his last six starts.  The Devils latest win was a 2-1 overtime win against Montreal as Zach Parise scored his team leading 15th goal. "I just think everybody's in synch," coach Brent Sutter said. "The biggest thing that I want to see as a group is no matter what the score is, the amount of time the game is, we've got to play a certain way, we've got to stay with that."

SBG Global reports that early hockey betting has the public taking  Canadiens on the Road.

Pittsburgh defeated New Jersey 4-1 late last month as Sidney Crosby had the hat trick. "Obviously this whole league is full of talented players, and then there's the elite players who are even more talented," Clemmensen said. "And when those guys are the hardest-working players on the ice, then that is scary good. Just scary good." Evgeni Malkin and Crosby are one-two in the NHL scoring race. Malkin has 11 goals and 34 assists while Crosby has 13 goals and 28 assists.

The Penguins are coming off two straight losses and coach Michel Therrien was not happy with the latest 4-3 loss to Buffalo. "At 3-1, we started to play horribly," Therrien said. "It was a horrible performance. That's the truth."

The Penguins are 5-0-1 in their last six games at New Jersey. Here are more hockey betting stats for Wednesday's game. The Penguins are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. the Atlantic. The Penguins are 24-51-6 in their last 81 Wednesday games.

The road team is 11-3 in the last 14 meetings between the two teams.
