Merge Gaming CEO Anthony Tailor has resigned from a position he has held for five years. Details regarding the exit were not immediately known, however, the popular online poker network continues to thrive and, just this week, flagship brand Carbon Poker announced the return of the super popular Poker Maximus promotion (dubbed Poker Maximus II).
Tailor is widely seen as someone who helped contribute immensely to Merge Gaming’s massive growth over the past five years of his tenure. The network features a few dozen “skins” (independently owned online card rooms), having evolved with only a handful that included an originally launched but now defunct brand that specifically targeted marijuana smokers called Reefer Poker.
Tailor is likely to emerge in some other capacity, however, it is not yet known whether he will continue to serve the online gambling sector.
