The Cardinals vs. Patriots spread had New England as a huge -13.5 point favorite although a few books have crossed over the dangerous two-touchdown line of -14 anticipating a blowout.  Nearly 90 percent of those betting the spread were backing New England here.  You can find all the latest NFL betting lines at BetOnline or start betting online in minutes here.

Tony Bryant of BetOnline is one of the few who feels optimistic about a possible Cardinals cover.

“There really is no point in discussing the weapons on the New England offense because that whole unit speaks for itself. The Arizona Cardinals will definitely have its hands full in this game, but this is a game that Arizona could win. The New England offensive line obviously has some issues to work on, and the Arizona defensive line can exploit those issues.”

Bryant adds:  “The Arizona Cardinals actually did a good job keeping Seattle rookie quarterback Russell Wilson in check for the game. But Tom Brady has just a few more tricks up his sleeve than Russell Wilson, and the New England offense has a lot more weapons than Seattle. What the Cardinals need to do is continue to run the ball against New England and keep the New England offense contained in the middle of the field.

“The Cardinals have linebackers that can match up with the New England tight ends, but it will be a full-time job for the linebackers to keep an eye on Hernandez and Gronkowksi. If the Arizona defensive line can hold up, then Arizona can win this game.”
