Be advised that, while Bookmaker was offering the line of -7.5 on Green Bay at the time of publication Saturday evening, a few of the books had the number as high as -9.  So despite the balanced action, the line here is especially fluid and trending upwards, as this one opened at -5.

This is a critical game for both teams as Green Bay should really be up 2-1 but is instead entering Week 4 with a 1-2 record following a botched call in Seattle last week.

Meanwhile, New Orleans stands to start the season an unheard of 0-4 should they not get the job done in Green Bay late afternoon Sunday.

History is against the New Orleans Saints in this game as the Packers have gone 16-3 Straight Up at home over the last 3 seasons and 13-6 Against The Spread.  More telling perhaps is that Green Bay is 7-1 Against The Spread in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

The Packers are 6-0 Against The Spread in their last 6 games following a Straight Up loss.  In their last three road losses that were followed by a home game, Green Bay beat the visiting opponent by score margins of 18, 27 and 14, respectively.  This is going to be one angry Packers team we are applying this particular trend to.

Green Bay beat New Orleans at home last season by 8 points.

Against NFC North division opponents the Saints are 5-1 ATS over the past 3 season.
