GOP US Presidential nominee Mitt Romney is closing the gap in polls but not necessarily within the gambling markets.

The prediction market intrade.com still had US President Barack Obama getting around 65 percent of the betting action while Sportsbook.com has only slashed his odds around a quarter point since last week’s Debate.

The Pew Poll showed that likely voters favored Romney in the presidential race by 49 percent to Obama's 45 percent, while Romney came up even at 46 percent with Obama among registered voters, Pew said. Romney had trailed Obama by nine points among likely voters in September.

On the state front, Florida has moved back to EVEN odds on both sides after favoring Obama slightly over the past two weeks.
