The Raiders vs. Falcons spread was coming in at -8.5 most books but the trend was for this line to move upwards, as it already has at BetOnline.  They were offering Atlanta as the -9 point home favorite here.  BetOnline features LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING and up to $900 in FREE BETS for new customers.

Atlanta comes into Week 6 as one of only two undefeated NFL teams (the other being Houston).  It is the Falcons hottest start in franchise history.

Still, they do have a target on their head.

Tony Bryant of BetOnline notes:

“It’s possible that Oakland – a team that upset the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this season – could rise up and shock Atlanta, especially in light of the fact that the Falcons have squeaked by in recent weeks. However, the Raiders just aren't as physical or as talented as the Falcons, and that's why Atlanta should win comfortably.”

He adds:  “Oakland didn't show up for its most recent game against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 30. The Raiders will be angry and looking to make a point as they take on the last unbeaten team in the NFC. Just watch – this game could defy your expectations.”

If history is any indication, however, Atlanta should come out of this one 6-0 and quite possibly cover the spread.  Over the last three seasons, Atlanta has managed to go 15-4 Straight Up in all home games and 10-7 Against The Spread over this same time period.  Couple that with the Falcons record of 8-2 ATS in non-conference games and 11-3 when playing against a team with a losing record, Gambling911.com absolutely LOVES the Falcons to cover this 8.5 point spread.  Atlanta is one of the most consistent teams in the league.
