Pinnacle Sports Closed to All Agents in US

Following a massive sweep resulting in the arrests of more than 30 people betting on behalf of PinnacleSports.com and at least two other websites last month, Pinnacle has effectively shut off its business to all interests operating within the United States.

The company does not allow those attempting to log into the website from the US to access account information as of Wednesday.  Furthermore, Gambling911.com has learned through its many sources that agents attempting to “lay down” bets on Wednesday were prevented from doing so by Pinnacle Sports.

Three co-owners of Pinnacle Sports were arrested in the US as part of a year-and-a-half long investigation.  The sports betting ring is said to have taken in more than $50 million.  A former Sportsbook Director for Cantor Gaming was also charged as part of the investigation, which is ongoing. 

PinnacleSports.com was still open to those living outside the US, however, its licensing arm, the Alderney Gaming Commission, was conducting its own internal investigation. 

Cantor Gaming is also being scrutinized by the Nevada Gaming Commission where it is licensed.
