Las Vegas police were investigating an armed robbery at the Sahara Hotel that took place just before 6 pm Friday evening.
Police claim that the robbers stole from the poker room itself, not from an individual player or players.
Police had not released how much money was stolen or what type of weapon was used.
The Sahara Hotel and Casino, which opened in 1952, is a hotel casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. The hotel has 1,720 guestrooms and suites.
The Sahara ranks the last remaining vintage "Rat Pack" casino-hotel, and today anchors the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip.
