BlackChip Poker Leaving Merge Gaming Network

As has been rumored in recent weeks, BlackChip Poker, one of the premier Merge Gaming Network brands, will be finding a new home.  That announcement is expected in the coming days.

BlackChip Poker confirmed Wednesday it will not be allowing customers to take part in the hugely popular Poker Maximus III that kicks off November 29.

We've made the decision to pull from Poker Maximus III due to a number of reasons which will become clear within the next week. We are confident this decision is in the best interests of our players and partners. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

While check delays are being reported, those with “inside” information have noted that such delays are a result of the pending network switch.

By most accounts BlackChipPoker appears to be financially sound and this is simply a move to another poker network, which is a common industry practice.

At press time it was not immediately known which network BlackChipPoker would be moving to.  Gambling911.com has not been able to confirm rumors that they are moving to Winners Poker Network, though, if true, customers will likely see payout times improved to within two weeks (well above the current industry standard when it comes to US-facing rooms).  Likewise, Winners has some of the deepest pockets in the Web gambling world bar none.
