The highly anticipated $400 million Horseshoe Casino is set to open its doors on March 4.  The establishment will employ some 2000 people.

The Horseshoe Cincinnati is the fourth and final casino approved by voters in 2009 via a constitutional amendment.  It will be operated by Caesar’s Entertainment.

“Our casino operations team is ‘All In’ and will be ready to debut our legendary Horseshoe brand to the Cincinnati community in 82 days,” said casino general manager Kevin Kline, in a statement.
“We expect final work inside and out to wrap up next month,” said Steve Rosenthal, a principal with developer Rock Gaming and a leader on the casino’s design and construction team, in a statement.
“Horseshoe Cincinnati is a huge new addition to Downtown,” Mayor Mark Mallory  said in a statement. “It’s putting thousands of Cincinnatians to work and it will open the door for new business development in the surrounding area. The casino opening is an exciting way to kick off 2013 in Cincinnati.”

The two-story 400,000-square-foot complex will be located at Broadway Commons in the northeast corner of downtown and will feature 2,000 slot machines, 85 table games and a 31-table World Series of Poker room.
