Super Bowl 47 Coin Toss Odds: Betting Public on Tails

The Super Bowl 47 coin toss odds were -110 or slightly less than EVEN odds at Sportsbook.com.  This is typically one of the most bet on Super Bowl propositions in any given year.  Sportsbook.com is taking bets right up to the final play of the game.

65 percent of the betting action was on Tails, and probably with good reason.

Heads have won the past four Super Bowls.  At no time in the history of the Super Bowl has one side of the coin toss won more than four consecutive years.

“Statistically speaking, the outcome would usually be expected at 50/50 odds,” noted Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “This year is a bit different in that history is against heads showing for a fifth consecutive Super Bowl.  It simply has never happened.”

Sportsbook.com was offering two coin toss bets for Super Bowl 47, heads or tails and team to win the coin toss, both of which were listed at -110 odds
