Remi Castaignon Leads at Final of 2013 EPT Deauville
French player Remi Castaignon, 29, has a massive chip lead going into the final of EPT Deauville with 9,900,000, more than 40% of the chips in play. Three Lebanese players have also made the final and now account for 37.5% of the field, from the 1.92% who started the event. Lebanon is the current EPT Country of the Year.
The €5,300 main event attracted 782 players, creating a €3,753,600 prize pool. In addition to the title and cash prize, the EPT Deauville champion will also receive a stunning watch worth more than €5,000 from luxury Swiss brand Slyde, the Official Watch Sponsor for EPT9 Main Events. The EPT joined forces with the national France Poker Series this season to create a mega ten-day, 48-event festival in Deauville, making it one of the biggest events ever held in France.
