PokerStars Appoints Lee Jones as head of Poker Communications
ONCHAN, ISLE OF MAN –PokerStars today appointed Lee Jones as Head of Poker Communications for PokerStars.
In this newly-created role, Jones will serve as a key PokerStars spokesperson on poker issues for internal and external audiences. He will bring his deep knowledge, experience and love of poker to ensure that PokerStars is able to continue communicating about poker in an authentic and people-focused manner.
“I love poker, and I love being part of the broader poker community. This new role will allow me to serve as the community’s representative to PokerStars, as well as PokerStars’ representative to the poker community,” said Jones.
Jones will report to Eric Hollreiser, Head of Corporate Communications.
“Lee has been a long-time poker evangelist and there are few people in the industry who can match his passion, knowledge and experience,” Hollreiser said. “In this role, Lee will focus full-time on using his knowledge and experience to engage audiences in forums, media, events, blogs and internally, infusing in all of us his passion and love for the game.”
Lee has a long and distinguished career at PokerStars, having first joined the company in 2003 working as Poker Room Manager and as President of the European Poker Tour. More recently, Lee led the launch of Home Games and our just-launched Facebook social game.
Lee is the author of Winning Low-Limit Hold ‘em and an experienced poker commentator on radio and TV.
