Survey: New Jersey Residents Really, Really Want PokerStars

A recent survey conducted by Poker Players Alliance (PPA) makes it abundantly clear that residents of New Jersey want PokerStars to take over the troubled Atlantic Club Casino in Atlantic City.

998 members of the PPA who reside in the state were surveyed.

The American Gaming Association is attempting to keep PokerStars out of the state.

- 63 percent of those surveyed gave the PokerStars site a perfect “5″ on a scale of 1 to 5. Another 22 percent gave it a 4, while only 3 percent gave it a 1 or a 2.

- 96 percent say PokerStars should be able to buy The Atlantic Club.

- 94 percent say they would visit a casino owned by that company.

- 96 percent also say they would like to play on a PokerStars website.

- 95 percent do not agree with the concept that PokerStars is a “bad actor” and therefore should not be licensed in New Jersey.

- Therefore, 94 percent do not support AGA’s stance.

- 73 percent did say the Casino Control Commission is the proper authority to determine suitability, and it is the CCC that the AGA has complained to.

PokerStars claims the AGA has its own hidden agenda.
