William Hill is the biggest beneficiary, having corned 15 percent of the market.  They recently cut ties with online gambling software provider and partner, Playtech.

Ladbrokes last week announced it had entered into a relationship with Playtech in an effort to catch up to Hill.  Ladbrokes currently has 11 percent of the overall market.

Paddy Power, Bet365 and BetFair each have 11 percent of the online gambling market as well.

Sports betting, which has seen an increase of just over 100 percent since 2008, represents 44 percent of the gambling sector followed by online casinos with a 23 percent share.

Bingo claimed 17 percent of the market but was up 155 percent since 2008.

Online poker was the least popular of the gambling categories, seeing just an 8 percent increase since 2008 while capturing 15 percent of the overall market.
