Tristan H. Cockcroft of ESPN.com forecasted some vital Week 3 hitting advantages for both Fantasy Baseball aficionados and sports bettors alike.

In addition to the Dodgers' pitchers matching up nicely this week, their hitters should also benefit from a week in which they won't face any fantasy aces, Cockcroft points out.  Among them:  Carl Crawford, Jake Arrieta and Eric Stults.  Totals bettors should certainly take note.

For sports bettors, Gambling911.com (9-2 in free picks since last Tuesday) has started to hone in on the Dodgers this week in their series with the Padres.

The Dodgers starting pitchers have enjoyed great success against San Diego and that includes Monday's scheduled start for Chad Billingsly, who has eight wins, 10 quality starts, a 2.71 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 14 starts against the Padres the past four seasons combined.  He’ll start Monday for LA.

Clayton Kershaw is scheduled to face the Padres on Wednesday.  He has eight wins, 11 quality starts, a 2.28 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 17 career starts against San Diego.  The Dodgers and Kershaw might be worth the high price we anticipate being posted on this game for sports bettors

Individual hitters from other MLB teams that Cockcroft has on his radar include the likes of Pittsburgh’s Pedro Alvarez, who is .579 AVG, 2 home runs in 20 plates against Tuesday starter Jake Westbrook.  His record against Friday starter Tim Hudson is .375/.444/.500 triple-slash rates in nine PAs.

Baltimore Orioles Matt Weiters, meanwhile, is a combined 18-for-46 (.391 AVG) with three home runs in his career against the Tampa Bay Rays’ three scheduled starters.
