Two Players in Race to Become First PokerStars ‘Triple COOP’ Winner
ONCHAN, ISLE OF MAN – The PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker 2013 festival gets under way on May 12 with two players on the brink of a poker first. Alex ‘AlexKP’ Petersen and Jonathan ‘MONSTER_DONG’ Karamalikis both have WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) and TCOOP (Turbo Championship of Online Poker) titles to their names, but will be gunning to become the first player to win the PokerStars ‘Triple COOP’ by taking down a SCOOP event in May.
SCOOP 2013 takes place from May 12-26 and features a total of 44 events (132 tournaments) across Low, Medium and High stakes levels, making it the largest poker festival ever held. It will also give the two players a massive 132 different chances to write their name in the poker history books.
Petersen said: “It would be an amazing achievement for me to become the first ‘Triple COOP’ winner. The fields in PokerStars’ TCOOP, WCOOP and SCOOP events are so large and tough – it’s hard enough to win one, never mind three! But I’ll definitely be going for it once the festival starts.”
