Duhamel, Hachem, Benyamine Still Going Strong at Players Championship

26 players remained in this year’s World Series of Poker Players Championship coming into Day 4.  The event will pay out close to $2 million to the winner and more than a million dollars to runner up.  The winner will also receive the coveted Chip Reese Trophy.

Don Nguyen led with chips coming into Wednesday while Mike Gorodinsky sat with the second largest stack.

Nguyen is starting to make a name for himself at this year’s WSOP, having won $209,648 at Event #16 with a 2nd place finish.  His live playing career up to this point has resulted in only 9 cashes.

Here are the top ten chip counts headed into Day 4 of the $50,000 Poker Players Championship:

1. Don Nguyen – 2,059,000

2. Mike Gorodinsky – 1,650,000

3. Minh Ly – 1,458,000

4. Michael Glick – 1,130,000

5. John Hennigan – 1,085,000

6. David Benyamine – 1,052,000

7. Troy Burkholder – 1,047,000

8. Jonathan Duhamel – 1,038,000

9. Mike Leah – 980,000

10. Matthew Ashton – 912,000
