Following news that PokerStars has joined forces with Resorts Hotel and Casino to offer real money online poker in New Jersey, it was later announced that Europe’s biggest betting exchange, Betfair, has inked a deal with the Trump Plaza.  Meanwhile, online gaming firm Gamesys has entered into a partnership with the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Betfair, PokerStars, and to a lesser degree, Gamesys, are big name players in the world of international online gambling.  There is actually something quite remarkable about such firms entering the New Jersey business stage all in a single week (one that includes a national holiday no less).

Betfair and Trump Plaza hope to go live by November.

Elsewhere, Borgata has announced it joined forces with the largest Internet gambling company bwin.party.  The Golden Nugget will utilize gambling software provided by Bally Technologies.  Caesar’s will be teamed up with 888 Holdings.

The Revel and Atlantic Club have yet to announce an Internet partnership.  The later is currently embroiled in a nasty legal dispute with PokerStars.

With the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement confirming that all Atlantic City properties had applied for licenses, it can be assumed that both the Revel and Atlantic Club have suitors in place.

On Monday it was announced that Ultimate Gaming, backed by Stations Casinos and the UFC, had entered into a partnership deal with the Trump Taj Mahal.
