Welcome Predictious.com as the newest online gambling website and like none other that exist today.  Not only does the site promise to be a step up from now defunct intrade.com, Predictious.com will also be accepting the digital currency Bitcoin (note that credit cards can also be used).

The new site is slated to debut this coming Thursday July 9, 2013.

Soon gamblers will be able to place bets on whether Kate and William will have a baby girl, if “Pacific Rim” will be the top grossing film of the summer and Hillary Clinton to be the next US President, among other great offerings.

Oh, and did we mention you can actually bet on the OVER/UNDER where Bitcoin is trading before a certain set date?

One will also be able to place future bets on sporting events.

Predictious is operated legally by Pixode from Ireland, like the famous (now closed) prediction market InTrade. Since Bitcoin is an anonymous currency, users can use Predictious from any country in the world.

“Prediction markets are about things ordinary people can relate to, like a sporting event, an election, or the winner or a TV show ”, said Flavien Charlon, CEO of Pixode, “people feel more in control when investing in such predictions than they do when investing in complex and sometimes obscure financial products”.

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital crypto-currency. It cannot be controlled by a single entity, accounts cannot be frozen, and it has close to zero transaction fees, which makes it the ideal currency for this type of service.

Pixode is a startup founded in 2010 and based in Dublin, Ireland. Pixode is in the social and mobile application space, it released several Facebook games and applications for business pages (Forum for Pages), as well as mobile games (Warp for Windows Phone 8, YouTube DJ for Windows 8/RT).
