As noted by the guys, in past years this would have been a pitching matchup to die for, however, ace Justin Verlander has not exactly been having the best season.  He is just 10-7.

Detroit has won the last 3 in this series.

Jake Peavy has gone 7-4 for the White Sox this season.  Peavy gave up four runs (two earned) in six innings to defeat Atlanta in his last start after dropping three of four decisions.

The Tigers were a -145 road favorite in this one.

This game goes off at 2:10 pm EDT.
